The Market Manager supports the operations of express carwash locations within an assigned area. This role ensures consistent execution, helps develop strong Site Managers, and supports daily performance across each location. Working under the Market Director, the Market Manager focuses on operations, staffing, service quality, and basic equipment reliability to keep all sites running smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities
Multi-Site Operations Support
  • Oversee day-to-day operations for 4-8 express carwash sites.
  • Conduct regular site visits to check wash quality, cleanliness, staffing, and compliance.
  • Help Site Managers execute company standards and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with scheduling, labor planning, and task delegation during busy periods or staffing gaps.
People Leadership
  • Coach and support Site Managers to build strong, engaged teams.
  • Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training front-line team members and future leaders.
  • Support performance management by giving clear, direct feedback.
  • Help maintain a positive, safe, and productive work environment across all locations.
Customer Experience
  • Ensure every location delivers fast, friendly, and consistent service.
  • Support Site Managers in resolving customer concerns when needed.
  • Help drive membership engagement and service quality across the area.
Operational Standards & Safety
  • Ensure consistent adherence to safety rules, equipment handling guidelines, and chemical management.
  • Verify that all sites maintain required cleanliness, equipment checks, and daily/weekly routines.
  • Identify operational gaps and help Site Managers close them quickly.
Equipment & Maintenance Support
  • Monitor daily equipment performance and partner with maintenance teams to schedule repairs.
  • Help coordinate preventative maintenance and follow-up on work orders.
  • Ensure Site Managers complete required equipment checks and communicate issues promptly.
Performance Support & Reporting
  • Review location-level KPIs with Site Managers and help build action plans for improvement.
  • Share performance updates with the Market Director, including risks and opportunities.
  • Support initiatives that improve efficiency, quality, and team performance across the area.
Decision Making
  • Owns: Daily operational decisions across assigned locations; scheduling support; coaching and development actions.
  • Influences: Staffing levels, training priorities, and operational improvements.
  • Escalates: Major equipment issues, staffing shortages, safety concerns, or financial risks.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in express carwash, retail, service, or field operations.
  • Experience managing or supporting multiple locations preferred.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel daily between assigned locations.
  • Comfort working around mechanical equipment and in outdoor environments.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk sites for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift 25-50 pounds as needed during site visits.
  • Ability to work outdoors year-round.
Work Schedule
  • Full-time role with travel across assigned locations.
  • Requires flexibility, including some weekends or evenings based on business needs.
