Staying informed through industry resources and ongoing training helps manage these challenges effectively.

What is marine insurance?

Marine insurance is a type of insurance that provides coverage for loss or damage to ships, cargo, terminals, and any transport by which goods are transferred between points of origin and final destination. It protects shipping companies, cargo owners, and other stakeholders in the maritime industry from financial loss due to perils such as accidents, theft, natural disasters, or piracy during transit. This insurance can be tailored to cover specific risks based on the nature of the cargo, routes, and modes of transport involved.
