Job description

Marine Technician

Jesco Marine and Power Sports is an excellent company owned and operated in the Flathead Valley for over 41 years, providing long-term job opportunities to our team members.

We are looking for an experienced Marine Technician to join our team. If you have strong diagnostic skills, marine engine experience, and take pride in quality work, we want to hear from you!

 

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and performance issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance and scheduled service on boats and marine systems.
  • Repair and replace components on inboard, outboard, and surf boat systems.
  • Work on engines and systems including Mercury, Volvo, Penta, Yamaha, and PCM.
  • Surf boat systems and technology
  • Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high quality workmanship.
  • Communicate clearly with service advisors and team members
  • Maintain accurate repair notes and documentation

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Previous marine technician experience is required
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Mercury, Volvo, Penta, PCM, and surf boat systems preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical, fuel, cooling, and driveline systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage workflow
  • Positive attitude and strong attention to detail 

Job Type

  • Full-Time; Hourly; 40 hrs./wk. Monday-Friday; **Weekend Availability**
  • Competitive pay starting at $35.00/hr. 
  • Technicians with 10 or more years’ experience will be considered for starting pay of $40.00/hr.
