Job description

Summary:
The Manufacturing Associate will be reliable and demonstrate basic skills to perform multiple processes relating to the extraction and manufacturing of quality hemp products following work order specifications. You will work within a team environment to meet departmental goals and maintain work area cleanliness.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Cross-train in all operational areas (under direction from Supervisor)
  • Complete training (certified) in a timely manner
  • Assist in all production areas to meet the department's needs/goals
  • Drive a culture of safety 1st and perform all duties in a safe manner
  • Maintain a safe work environment for all employees
  • Provide open and honest feedback to the team and leadership in a professional manner
  • Communicate and be part of the solution on all issues in a proactive manner
  • Certify and operate the dish washer following sanitation protocols, IPA Hemp Handling, IPA Extraction, CO2 Decarb, CO2 Extraction, Finished Product Production, Bulk Dilution, Sanitation, and CIP Skid.
  • Follow instructions and directions from the Supervisor
  • Own an operational area and/or functional area (cleanliness, 5s, safety etc.)
  • Identify equipment and process issues and work with lead and others to fix the issues (put on area issue list as needed)
  • Perform PMs and Daily Checks as trained
  • WIP (Work in Progress) room cleaning
  • Support maintenance as trained
  • Support Continuous Improvement
  • Learn NAV Basics including Item Look Up and Movements as necessary
  • Safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and GDP Trainings
  • Assist with inventory counts
  • Learn how to do daily cleaning of all extraction areas (including operation of floor scrubber)
  • Work and operate in the process area (where certified) without direct supervision
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous manufacturing or GMP experience preferred

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Good planning, time management, and organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365
  • Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to pick up and lift up objects, sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, and twist. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
