Join a world-class team of scientists, engineers, and business professionals to advance the state-of-the-art in next-generation computing technology.

The VP of Manufacturing will provide strategic and operational leadership for their manufacturing organization, overseeing the build, test, and scale-up of complex, precision computing hardware. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a key member of the executive leadership team, this role will translate strategy into manufacturing capability, capacity, and execution, while building and leading a high-performing manufacturing organization from the ground up.

Job Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the manufacturing strategy and roadmap to scale production of advanced computing systems in line with company growth targets
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team on manufacturing capacity, capital investment, facility expansion, and long-range operating goals
  • Build, lead, and mentor a multi-tiered manufacturing organization, including hiring, developing, and retaining manufacturing leaders and staff
  • Establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes for advanced, precision hardware (including cleanroom and complex assembly/test environments), ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Develop and monitor KPIs for manufacturing efficiency, on-time delivery, and error rates; deliver progress and production reporting to the CEO and board as requested

  • Oversee capital equipment purchasing, facility layout, and adoption of new manufacturing technology
  • Lead workforce planning for the division, including recruitment, training, and ongoing performance evaluations
  • Organize departmental management structure and teams for efficient, scalable operations

  • Strong, verifiable track record leading manufacturing teams within an advanced technology domain (e.g., semiconductor, aerospace/satellite, photonics, or other deep-tech hardware)
  • Demonstrated success scaling novel manufacturing operations from low-volume/prototype production to higher-volume manufacturing
  • Proven experience building multi-level teams and developing departmental leaders
  • Experience owning budget/P&L accountability in a late-stage startup, complex-manufacturing environment
  • Excellent executive-level verbal and written communication skills, with experience reporting to C-suite and/or board audiences
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and safety/regulatory compliance requirements
  • Ability to set long-term goals and translate them into actionable plans across the organization
Desired Qualifications
