Job Overview
Seeking an engineer with a strong manufacturing background to lead process improvement and cost reduction initiatives across production operations. This role owns multiple projects simultaneously, driving improvements from concept through implementation while partnering with production, engineering, and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing improvement projects focused on productivity, quality, throughput, and cost savings.
- Manage capital equipment and process improvement projects from budgeting and planning through execution and validation.
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, tooling, and operational efficiency.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives across the department.
- Lead Kaizen events and cross-functional teams to implement sustainable process improvements.
- Track project performance, measure results, and ensure improvements are maintained.
- Work closely with production teams to improve process capability, reduce waste, and support departmental objectives.
- Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and long-term operational planning.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven project management experience with the ability to independently lead multiple projects at once.
- Demonstrated success delivering cost savings and process improvement initiatives, including CapEx projects.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing engineering principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar operational excellence tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive projects with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting stamping, die cast, molding, or other high-volume manufacturing operations.
- Lean and/or Six Sigma certification.
- Prior experience partnering with Manufacturing Engineers, Process Technicians, and production leadership teams.
Work Environment
Manufacturing-floor-focused role supporting production operations and engineering teams. Candidates should be comfortable managing approximately five concurrent projects while maintaining ownership of continuous improvement, cost reduction, and capital investment initiatives. A proactive, self-directed approach is critical to success in this position.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denison, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.46 - $48.08/hr.
