Job description

GENERON is a leading company in air and process gas separations. It has numerous patents supporting its proprietary technologies.

SUMMARY

The Project Engineer works with other Customers, Designers, Salespeople, and Manufacturing personnel to manage complete project cycle from start to completion. Job duties are listed below, but essentially include research and specification of components, interpretation of client specifications and requirements, and communication of this knowledge through drawings, documents, written procedures, and in person meetings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A successful candidate will be able to:

  • Evaluate system design, materials, components, equipment, and applications for fabricated or packaged equipment systems. This is performed by applying technical knowledge, calculations, and/ or conducting research for specific equipment, manufacturers, and products.
  • Read, understand, and organize customer project specifications to select and design our systems.
  • Interact with Purchasing and manufacturing departments to ensure material quality and compliance with contractual specifications.
  • Help to create, review, and organize project submittal documents for customer review, including system drawings, data sheets, calculations, load lists, BOM’s, etc.
  • Attend meetings with Engineers, Clients, and vendors throughout various stages of project to prepare and/or validate proposed scope of work, including KOM, Design & HAZOP reviews, Customer Inspections, and Final testing.
  • Assist Technical Sales group with customer proposals and questions.
  • Assist Manufacturing with standardization of key components, as well as implementing product improvements or supporting R&D Initiatives.
  • Understand and prioritize work load to meet customer expectations.
  • Work on multiple projects and multi-level tasks, where priorities may shift occasionally.
  • Understand and adhere to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • 7 yrs. minimum experience in practical application, design and/ or engineering duties, and/ or project management.
  • Requires skidded equipment packaging and project management experience.
  • Requires process system and compressor packaging experience.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no regular supervisory responsibilities, but occasionally may oversee drafting, design, or engineering project specific duties.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to speak, read, and write fluent English; bi-lingual in Spanish could be beneficial

EDUCATION

Accredited degree in Engineering discipline is required.
