Job description

We are seeking a Project Engineer Snr to manage and oversee flight, qualification, and prototype tests for ATLO Test Labs and Services (ATLS). This position will be the interface between internal customers and ATLS for multi-lab and production test requests, identifying gaps and streamlining coordination. This position will also drive early ATLS engagement to foster development and solidification of long range plans and make strategic decisions for test requests to level load enterprise test labs and production test based on capabilities, capacity, and expertise. A successful candidate will confront issues, identify risk/opportunities, and interact with multiple disciplines and functions including Test, Engineering, Production Operations, Manufacturing Project Manager, Planning, and Program. A demonstrated self-starter with the ability to establish a project business rhythm for communicating at all levels with the ability to manage multiple tasks to successful completion.
Summary of Key Duties:
Early interaction and coordination with programs, Product Centers, and engineering to understand requirements and scope for the test labs
Coordinate/collect and provide time phased test estimates to program, production, and/or engineering for multi-lab test requests
Make strategic decisions for test requests to level load enterprise test labs based on capabilities, capacity, and expertise
Bridge scope of work between production, production test, and the test labs taking responsibility for cost and schedule
Understand technical aspects of test plans and requirements, identifying risks and opportunities
Work with planning to develop detailed supplemental schedules with all nominal operations and dependencies
Proactively identify voids in plan and develop solutions or mitigation plans
Support test readiness (program/engineering inputs and ATLS outputs)
Drive accountability across program, engineering, and test; achieve quick closure of actions
Collaborate with test labs, production test, schedulers, MRP, quality, programs, product centers, engineering, manufacturing project managers and other areas to communicate test issues, risks, and opportunities
