About the Role
As a Project Engineer, you will play a role in coordinating and driving the execution of complex modular facility projects. You will work closely with other internal teams and departments to support safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution. This role bridges engineering, design, procurement, fabrication, and field construction, ensuring project are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Responsibilities
What You Will Do: (Essential Functions)
• Play a key role in delivering modular facility projects, from early planning through installation and commissioning
• Partner cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, fabrication, and field teams to keep projects aligned and moving forward
• Drive project execution by managing schedules, budgets, and priorities, to meet critical deadlines
• Serve as a problem-solver on-site, proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions to keep work on track
• Provide technical support during installation, system tie-ins, and integration activities
• Build strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and client while ensuring high standards of quality and safety
• Lead coordination and progress meetings, keeping stakeholders informed on milestones, challenges, and next steps
• Review project designs and plans to ensure accuracy, constructability, and successful field execution
• Oversee contractor work and field activities to ensure compliance with specifications, safety standards, and project goals
• Manage project changes effectively, including scope, cost, and schedule impacts
• Maintain clear and accurate project documentation while supporting continuous improvement in processes and outcomes
• Champion a positive, collaborate work environment aligned with company values
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based programs required
• Travel regularly (domestically, approximately 50%-60%) to support on-site project activities
Travel & Schedule:
• Frequent travel to project sites is required, as outlined above
• Company vehicle provided for project-related travel
• Travel expenses covered, including lodging and per diem or meals
• Flexibility in work hours is required based on travel schedules and project needs
Qualifications
What You Bring: (Skills, Experience, Education)
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• 4+ years' experience in and EPC, construction, or industrial environment
• Experience with large-scale steel, piping systems, or refinery/PSM processes preferred
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, civil/structural, electrical, and controls drawings and specifications
• Experience working with CADD software and reviewing or marking up technical drawings
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organization, planning, and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with clients
• OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification is a plus
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record
Work Environment
This role includes a combination of office-based work, travel to active industrial and oil and gas project sites. Field environments may include exposure to dust, noise, heavy equipment, hazardous materials, and varying weather conditions. All work is performed in accordance with strict safety standards, and proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is required on-site.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to safely navigate active construction and industrial sites, including climbing stairs and accessing elevated areas
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to wear required PPE, including harnesses and other safety equipment
• Ability to remain stationary (standing or sitting) for extended periods
• Ability to operative a vehicle including low-light or adverse weather conditions
