ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Supervisor

Benson, NC | Manufacturing Operations | Full-Time

Join Our Team

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead warehouse operations supporting our high-volume manufacturing facility in Benson, North Carolina. This position oversees both the main warehouse and a satellite warehouse location within a 24/7 manufacturing environment, ensuring the efficient flow of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods throughout the operation.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping and receiving, employee development, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is critical to maintaining safe, efficient, and accurate warehouse operations that support production and customer satisfaction.

What You'll DoWarehouse & Inventory Operations
  • Supervise daily warehouse activities across main and satellite warehouse locations.
  • Coordinate receiving, storage, material movement, and shipment of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure FIFO inventory rotation.
  • Lead cycle count activities and ensure inventory accuracy within SAP and warehouse systems.
  • Monitor work-in-process transactions, finished goods inventories, and raw material levels.
  • Coordinate recycling and material disposition activities.
  • Ensure only conforming products are shipped to customers.
Shipping & Receiving
  • Oversee inbound receipt of raw materials, additives, spare parts, and operating supplies.
  • Review order requirements and coordinate carrier pickups and shipping schedules.
  • Ensure shipment accuracy and proper documentation for outbound deliveries.
  • Monitor packaging quality and shipment readiness.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse personnel, including warehouse leads, material handlers, and shipping/receiving clerks.
  • Conduct employee training, performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and employee development.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Safety & Compliance
  • Maintain compliance with all company safety policies and 5S standards.
  • Ensure daily forklift inspections and safe operation of material handling equipment.
  • Lead forklift certification and safety training programs.
  • Conduct warehouse audits and ensure compliance with operational standards.
Continuous Improvement & Planning
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service, inventory accuracy, productivity, and warehouse performance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives, standard work practices, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Conduct short- and mid-term labor and equipment capacity planning.
QualificationsWhat We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience using MRP/ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Prior experience supervising warehouse operations, logistics, or material handling teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced 24/7 manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing multiple warehouse locations.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Manufacturing operations leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • APICS/ASCM certification or related supply chain training.
  • Previous forklift certification.

Work Environment

This position works in both office and industrial environments and regularly supports operations in:

  • Manufacturing production areas
  • Finished goods and raw material warehouse
  • Shipping and receiving docks
  • Satellite warehouse facility

The facility operates on a 24-hour, 7-day schedule, and flexibility may be required to support business needs.
