Job description

Logoplaste is currently seeking to recruit an Operations Manager to join the team in Inwood, WV (USA).

The Operations Manager is responsible for implementing production schedules, methods, and processes, ensuring the effective use of workforce and equipment, the optimization of manufacturing, and resolution of production problems. Assures compliance with H&S and quality standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Management & Direction:

  • Manages the production teams to ensure the volumes of production and the costs, delivery, and quality requirements are met.
  • Provides support to the Plant Manager in all aspects of the manufacturing process, including improvements to the process.
  • Directs the teams via task-orientated plans and arranges daily meetings with teams and individuals.
  • Produces KPI analysis reports.

Production Process:

  • Detects and resolves faults/breakdowns, including planning and implementing corrective measures.
  • Oversees daily production operations, providing support to the Plant Manager
  • Manages the use of resources in the production process, namely raw material consumption.
  • Liaises with the customer on day-to-day requirements, attending to their claims and ensuring that the problems will be analyzed and resolved.
  • Makes decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification, and procurement.
  • Oversees planned and unplanned maintenance operations.
  • Provides on-call technical support for process and basic mechanical issues if required.
  • Compiles record of production data to prepare reports on the volume of production, consumption of material, and energy.
  • Develops systems and processes that track and optimize productivity.

Team Management:

  • Identifies and addresses training needs.
  • Ensures production staff complies with Health and safety regulations in their activities and also participates in the H & S action plans in the plant.
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement across the business by encouraging participation from the teams.

COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-7 years’ experience required.
  • Industry experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing operations.
  • strong leadership skills
