Join a leading chemical manufacturing operation as a Manufacturing Manager and take ownership of a highly complex continuous process facility. In this leadership role, you'll oversee production, utilities, and wastewater operations while driving safety, reliability, operational performance, and continuous improvement across the site. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll play a key role in shaping plant strategy, developing frontline leaders, and delivering world-class manufacturing excellence in a dynamic, high-impact environment.

Here's a glimpse into your day to day:
  • Lead the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of multiple manufacturing and utility operations within a continuous process environment.ย 
  • Foster a strong safety culture with an emphasis on OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM), environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance.ย 
  • Drive operational excellence by improving plant reliability, production efficiency, asset utilization, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).ย 
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development for Shift Team Leaders and production personnel while promoting accountability and employee engagement.ย 
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.ย 
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental permits, company policies, and industry standards.ย 
  • Lead investigations into operational issues, equipment failures, process deviations, and safety incidents using structured root cause analysis methodologies.ย 
  • Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Capital Projects, EHS, and Laboratory teams to execute operational priorities and support capital improvement initiatives.ย 
  • Support emergency preparedness and response activities while maintaining operational readiness across all shifts.ย 
  • Oversee employee training, performance management, workforce planning, labor relations activities, and operational documentation.

You'll be a perfect fit if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or another technical discipline.ย 
  • Minimum of 10 years of operations experience within a continuous chemical manufacturing environment.ย 
  • Experience working in OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) regulated facilities.ย 
  • Proven leadership experience managing operations teams in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.ย 
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and enterprise manufacturing systems (SAP or similar ERP/MES platforms).ย 
  • Experience managing supervisors or shift leads.ย 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in highly hazardous chemical manufacturing, including petrochemical, refining, specialty chemicals, or other continuous process industries.ย 
  • Previous leadership experience in a union manufacturing environment, including labor relations and contract administration.ย 
  • Experience leading reliability improvement initiatives, maintenance strategies, and root cause investigations.ย 
  • Demonstrated experience supporting emergency response programs, including incident command, HAZMAT, fire brigade, or emergency coordination.ย 
  • Strong understanding of process optimization, asset reliability, and continuous improvement methodologies. to safe practices
  • Some out of town travel may be required from time to time.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Pay: $100,000-140,000 (depending on experience)ย 
  • Eligible for overtime pay
