Job description

Position Location: 16875 W Ryerson Rd, New Berlin, WI 53151; 1511 Pearl St., Waukesha, WI 53186. Role performed at both locations.

Position Hours: 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Monday - Friday. Flexible start and end times based on operational needs.

Position Salary: $90,000 - $110,000

Salaries are based on a number of factors, including the skills and experience of the candidates. It is common to be hired at the lower to middle end of a salary range and while it is possible to be hired at the higher end, it often requires unique circumstances, such as proven expertise.

Job Description:

The Manufacturing Resource Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of manufacturing resources, including personnel, materials, operational readiness, facility organization, and production support activities. This role works collaboratively with the Maintenance Manager and Quality Director to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations while supporting continuous improvement, equipment reliability, quality objectives, and employee development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance and Operational Readiness

  • Partner with the Maintenance Manager to ensure equipment is maintained in a condition that supports safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and Quality Director to define, maintain, and improve equipment operating standards and basic working conditions.
  • Support the development of training materials, startup procedures, shutdown procedures, and operational standards.
  • Lead operational audits and support corrective actions to improve reliability, process performance, and compliance.
  • Utilize BlueStreak and other systems to support visibility of maintenance activities and resource requirements

Operations, Maintenance and Quality Coordination

  • Lead weekly Operations and Maintenance meetings with the Maintenance Manager.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Director regarding quality concerns, corrective actions, audit findings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate operational improvements, resource requirements, and action items to employees and leadership.
  • Support TPM, Lean, 6S, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Resource Coordination

  • Coordinate daily operational priorities, labor allocation, and staffing requirements to support customer requirements and production schedules.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to align maintenance activities with operational needs
  • Support cross-functional problem-solving involving Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Technical leadership.

6S Safety and Quality

  • Partner with the Quality Director to maintain compliance with quality management system requirements and customer expectations.
  • Support investigations of nonconformances, customer complaints, audit findings, and corrective actions.
  • Promote employee engagement in safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Human Resource Management

  • Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Manager and Quality Director to identify training needs, competency gaps, succession planning opportunities, employee development initiatives, and job descriptions.
  • Monitor and support monthly one-on-one meetings and semi-annual performance reviews for production employees to ensure effective coaching, development, accountability, and performance improvement.
  • Support employee performance management efforts, including coaching, counseling, documentation, and corrective action processes in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor attendance, workforce utilization, and staffing levels to ensure adequate resources are available to meet production and customer requirements.
  • Monitor the New Employee Mentoring Program to ensure successful onboarding, integration, and development of new employees.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, employee engagement, and servant leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

Employment of Foreign Persons(s) [22 CFR 120.63] will be contingent on receiving the DSP-5 license from the US State Department.
  • All hires are contingent upon a 9-panel hair follicle drug test and background check.
  • May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
  • May be required to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification
Education

College degree in:

  • Engineering/ Technical field or a related degree (Preferred)

Experience

  • A minimum of three years of heat-treating experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/ production environment
  • Experience in training and developing employees.
