General Responsibility - This position will support the continual success of Rubbermaid Commercial Products (RCP) business in the role of Associate Finance Manager. Winchester site includes a Manufacturing plant along with two Distribution and Transportation (D&T) plants. This individual will be responsible for assisting in the accounting-related processes across all sites in Winchester. This includes assisting in month-end, budgeting, costing, capital spending, cost savings, productivity analysis, reporting, along with employee engagement events. As part of this role, they will help in supporting all finance functions of RCP finance sitewide. Act as a liaison for plant financial functions and needs. Focus on reporting, costing, & providing informative analyses of the operations. Committed to working in a team-oriented environment, while supporting the Winchester, Virginia facility and operations team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Focus on costing and providing informative analyses of the operations.
  • Committed to working in a team-oriented environment.
  • Represent the Finance Team with a professional and customer service-based attitude.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to internal customers through daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
  • Maintain Capital Spend Projects: forecasted spend, actuals, capitalization, disposals, transfers, and deprecation.
  • Reconciliation of good receipts/invoice receipts
  • Practice efficient time management and organization skills to meet all deadlines.
  • Support the development of manufacturing and D&T department budgets.
  • Support accurate manufacturing and D&T cost files through review and explanation of variances.
  • Meet monthly closing requirements and account reconciliations to properly reflect current financial status of the site.
  • Provide detail analysis for month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Analyze significant operating variances monthly for Direct Labor, Manufacturing/D&T Expense, Scrap, Material Usage, etc.
  • Oversee company store transactions/needs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing finance
  • Demonstrated understanding of managerial accounting as it relates to a manufacturing and D&T environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of PC spreadsheets, databases and mainframe standard cost and inventory systems, especially Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to understand and assimilate new ideas and manage change.
  • Good planning and organizational skills combined with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and technical accounting skills.
  • Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cost accounting and analysis experience
  • Experience using SAP Financial and Costing module
  • Lean Manufacturing/D&T knowledge

"The Virginia base pay range for this position is from $85,500 to $117,600. Salary will be based on prior experience related to the skills required for this position."
