We are seeking a Plant Accountant to serve as the primary on-site finance partner for our Morristown manufacturing facility. This position plays a key role in supporting plant operations through financial analysis, cost control, reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Cost Management
  • Monitor factory spending and analyze budget and forecast performance.
  • Prepare variance analyses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting activities.

Manufacturing Finance & Reporting
  • Support month-end close and financial reporting processes.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, labor expenses, inventory transactions, and operational variances.
  • Develop and maintain plant KPIs and performance reports.

Fixed Asset & Capital Management
  • Maintain fixed asset records and accountability.
  • Track capital expenditures and project spending.
  • Coordinate asset audits and inventory verification activities.

Compliance & Internal Controls
  • Review payment requests for accuracy, approvals, and policy compliance.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Help strengthen financial controls and improve finance processes.

Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing, HR, and Corporate Finance teams.
  • Serve as the primary finance liaison between the Morristown facility and corporate finance leadership.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of accounting, manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or plant accounting experience.
  • Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
  • ERP system experience preferred.
