Job description

Robert Half Management Resources is looking for an experienced Finance Manager for one of our clients on an interim basis. This opportunity is ideal for someone who can connect financial results with plant performance and help leaders make sound operational and business decisions. The role combines hands-on financial leadership, analytical insight, and close collaboration with production and corporate partners in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.


Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary finance leader for the plant, advising site management on financial matters that influence daily operations and longer-term performance.

• Analyze production costs, margins, profitability, and overall operating results to highlight risks, opportunities, and drivers of business performance.

• Monitor financial and operational metrics to uncover trends, explain variances, and support actions that improve results.

• Work closely with operations and FP& A teams to build forecasts, prepare budgets, and evaluate business performance against plans.

• Translate complex financial data into practical recommendations that support planning, resource allocation, and decision-making at the plant level.

• Build strong knowledge of manufacturing processes through regular interaction with plant leadership and shop-floor teams.

• Assist with accounting-related activities, including support for month-end close, while maintaining focus on operational finance leadership.

• Partner with corporate finance stakeholders to promote accurate reporting, financial consistency, and alignment with broader company objectives.

• Demonstrated experience in a senior finance role within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong background in financial analysis, financial reporting, and performance evaluation for operational settings.

• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support business planning and decision-making.

• Knowledge of month-end close activities and the ability to support accounting processes as needed.

• Ability to connect financial outcomes with operational performance and communicate insights clearly to non-financial leaders.

• Comfortable working closely with plant leadership and production teams in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering skills with a focus on profitability and operational improvement.
