Job description

General Responsibilities:

LEAD TEACHER - A My Mini Mandarin Lead Teacher is responsible for the overall leadership and daily operations within their designated classroom, with the support from the Center Director. Including curriculum development, day-to-day care of the children, and management of the child care team members in their classroom.

ASSISTANT TEACHER - A My Mini Mandarin Teachers are responsible for the overall day-to-day operations in their dedicated classroom, under the leadership and support of the Lead Teacher.

TEACHER'S AIDE- A My Mini Mandarin Teachers are responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher the overall day-to-day operations in their dedicated classroom.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Some college coursework preferrred.
  • Prior Experience working with children preferred
  • Ability to pass a DHS Background Check
  • Mandarin Speaking 

Essential Job Functions, Duties and Responsibilities of the Lead Teacher:

  • Create and maintain a developmentally appropriate, center-based classroom environment for children
  • Create an emotionally responsive, caring, positive, and accepting environment supportive of the individual development of each child
  • Develop and implement integrated, developmentally appropriate, and comprehensive curriculum plans that promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children.
  • Supervising children to ensure a safe, supportive, culturally responsive, equitable, and welcoming learning environment.
  • Implement established classroom behavior guidelines.
  • Assess and monitor children’s progress, maintain appropriate records; prepare progress reports.
  • Communicate with parents regarding children day-to-day and individualized developmental progress
  • Attends meetings, workshops, in-services, special events and training as required
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions, Duties and Responsibilities of Assistant Teacher:

  • Provide supervision to students at all times; serving as a positive role model.
  • Assist children with meals and feeding.
  • Provide diaper changes and assist children with potty training.
  • Keep daily records and logs of student activities.
  • Follow daily schedules including napping and sleep schedules.
  • Assures the classrooms promote learning in a safe environment for the children.
  • Delivers classroom and recreational services: assists with attendance, work assignments, clerical duties, behavior management, and classroom preparation and set up.
  • Maintain a positive atmosphere of caring for all staff and children, provide constant supervision and monitor the safety of children.
  • Participate in play and curriculum activities with children.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as required
  • Other duties as assigned.

Hours: 30-40 Hours a Week

Pay: Hourly $15-$22 DOE
