Compensation: $42,000–$54,000 depending on experience, plus additional per-file earnings

Overview
A mortgage company is hiring a Bilingual Processing Assistant to support growing loan processing operations and assist Mandarin- and English-speaking clients, partners, and borrowers.
This is an on-site opportunity for someone who is organized, dependable, professional, and comfortable supporting loan files from application through closing. The right candidate will be able to communicate clearly in both Mandarin and English, manage documentation, coordinate with internal and external partners, and help keep files moving in a fast-paced lending environment.
This role offers room to grow into a full processor or senior operations role over time.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with preparing, organizing, and submitting loan files from application through closing.
  • Communicate with Mandarin- and English-speaking clients, agents, borrowers, and partners.
  • Translate documents and conversations as needed.
  • Collect, review, organize, and track borrower documentation, including income, assets, ID, and title materials.
  • Coordinate with escrow, title, and third-party vendors to support timely closings.
  • Maintain accurate data entry and file management in the loan origination system.
  • Monitor loan conditions and closing timelines.
  • Support loan officers, processors, underwriters, escrow officers, clients, and real estate agents throughout the loan process.
  • Provide professional, client-facing communication in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
  • Fully bilingual in Mandarin and English required, including written and spoken proficiency.
  • 1–3 years of experience in mortgage, real estate, financial services, or a related role preferred.
  • Prior experience as a loan processor, processor assistant, transaction coordinator, or similar support role preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple files at once.
  • Professional communication skills and client-facing demeanor.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn loan origination systems and document management platforms quickly.
  • Experience with DocuSign, Encompass, Calyx, or similar systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with Conventional and Non-QM loan products preferred.
  • Experience working with Chinese-American clients or international borrowers preferred.
  • Cultural fluency and professionalism when working with Mandarin-speaking clients and partners is highly valued.
