Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for creating innovative menus. This role involves overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and safety standards, and managing a dynamic team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for fine dining excellence and operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
Fully responsible for the development, preparation, and quality control of Sichuan and/or Hunan cuisine
Ensure consistent flavor, efficient service, and compliance with brand standards
Manage daily kitchen operations, including staff scheduling and task allocation
Oversee ingredient purchasing, inventory management, and food cost control
Strictly enforce food safety, sanitation standards, and local health regulations
Support new store openings, menu optimization, and kitchen staff training
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sichuan or Hunan cuisine head chef
Strong mastery of classic Sichuan/Hunan dishes with stable, high-quality output
Proven kitchen management experience with strong responsibility and execution skills
Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to work on payroll (tax reporting required)
Mandarin speaking required
