Job description

This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our New York City office (Tuesday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Mondays and Fridays each week.
The Points Guy's Digital Sales Manager Role will be responsible for generating partnerships with clients and agencies to achieve The Points Guy's digital sales targets and objectives. The Digital Sales Manager Role is responsible for maintaining relationships and proactively growing new strategic business with key lifestyle, luxury goods, hotel, airline, cruise, and destination marketing clients. This role will own those conversations, strategic client pitches, proposal responses, and conference attendance throughout the year. The person in this role is responsible for helping to implement TPG's sales strategy to align all parties to build our business.
The Digital Sales Manager Role will serve as the main point of contact for assigned accounts through all presale phases of the sales cycle, collaborating with Integrated Marketing, Account Management, Creative and Sales Ops departments where needed. This position has frequent and ongoing client communication and is central in helping generate revenue through digital and custom solutions.
The perfect candidate for this role is someone who is passionate about travel and hospitality and has experience in media sales and a business development mindset to help us not only bolster our existing business and sell current products but also empower us to continue to expand into new industries & develop new media products.

What You'll Do:
  • Help shape and implement a strategic sales strategy that includes frequent online and in-person client and agency touchpoints to increase brand awareness and perception, resulting in digital partnership opportunities for The Points Guy.
  • Management of designated customer relationships throughout the RFP response process, which includes preparation, revision and ownership of digital media plan input within the order management system to be presented to agency and advertiser clients. At times, this role will require media planning for RFPs.
  • Engage Integrated Marketing, Site, Dev, Design and Creative teams for creative brainstorming, project creation, and delivery to be presented to agency and advertiser clients.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline details within the CRM for accurate sales forecasting.
  • Ability to work well but also self-sufficient and scrappy across a small team, including sales, ad ops, Dev, Design, post-sale, editorial, social, and video to ensure smooth delivery of partnership campaigns.
  • Qualify leads and discern real opportunities, identifying appropriate product mix for clients to ensure profitable and high-performing campaigns are sold.
  • Cross-media integration, understanding TPG's key selling propositions and creative process for custom campaigns against all media types.
  • Consider the wider TPG business strategic objectives and look for solutions that will help further these goals and strengthen the partnership team's vision.

What We're Looking For:
  • 5+ years of experience in client/agency sales with a proven track record of success.
  • Established relationships with top media agencies. Relationships with lifestyle, luxury goods, hotel, airline, cruise, and/or destination marketing clients is preferred.
  • High level of customer service, professionalism and a natural understanding of managing client and agency relationships effectively.
  • Sound knowledge of the latest trends in the digital advertising industry and associated products & processes. As well as sound knowledge of the latest trends and news in travel, credit cards, and financial services.
  • Solid understanding of the sales environment, including targets and success measures and an appreciation of the pressures and drivers associated with working in sales.
  • Experience using CRM software and sales analytics tools preferred.
  • Excellent organization skills with real attention to detail
  • Time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple pitches, tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Self-starter attitude, strong, collaborative communicator and a commitment to building a positive, tolerant and harmonious work environment.

Compensation:
This range reflects total cash compensation, which may include base salary only or base salary plus target bonus, depending on the role. Where eligible, equity may also be offered separately and not included below. Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.
  • New York City Total Cash Compensation Range: $112,000 - $150,000 per year + Commission
