Manager of Quality Assurance

We are currently searching for a Manager of Quality Assurance to join our team in Encino. This position will oversee the administration of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) program to ensure food safety compliance and a sanity production environment. You will ensure the company is in compliance with the California Retail Food Code (CalCode) and other applicable governmental agencies.

Responsibilities:
  • Verify that all stores are in compliance with HACCP program by conducting inspections and supervising documentation audits
  • Keep the Company current with any new food safety laws, interpretations, or procedures
  • Review and update training materials, and policies and procedures to ensure conformity with the law, including CalCode
  • Ensure that all trainers and managers' certifications are current
  • Introduce new chemicals or procedures to the Company; provide necessary training
  • Ensure compliance with all governmental agencies and their reporting processes
  • Report any discrepancies or violations of policy to Executive Management team
  • Other related duties and assignments as required

Desired skills and experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
  • Completion of Retail Food Certification Program a plus
  • Three (3) to five (5) years' experience working in quality assurance; 2 of which in food safety training
  • One (1) year experience conducting HACCP based audits
  • Food handler and HACCP certification
  • Certified Professional Food Manager Instructor preferred
  • Experience with CURFFL compliance (California Uniform Retail Food Facilities Law)
  • Highly effective organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to convey information and promote a learning environment
