Job description

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions is seeking to fill a Regional Sales Manager position in for Ontario.

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions is expanding its Canadian commercial team and is looking for a proven hunter to drive new business growth across Ontario.

This role is designed for a sales professional who thrives on opening doors, creating opportunities where none existed, and closing service-based deals. While you will manage select existing relationships, success in this role is defined primarily by new customer acquisition and revenue growth.

You will operate with significant autonomy, owning your territory end-to-end, from target identification through close, supported by a strong operational and technical delivery organization.

Reports To:

General Manager, Canada

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, hunt, and win new customers within the automotive, transportation, and manufacturing sector.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue high-value opportunities by engaging decision-makers across operations, quality, engineering, and procurement.
  • Build and execute a territory plan that prioritizes target accounts, verticals, and revenue potential.
  • Lead sales conversations from first contact through close, including problem identification to proposal development, and negotiation.
  • Collaborate with technical and operational teams to craft customized service solutions that solve real customer problems.
  • Maintain a strong and disciplined sales pipeline, accurately forecasting activity and results.
  • Track all prospect and customer interactions in CRM with rigor and accuracy.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to uncover new growth opportunities.
  • Represent TRIGO professionally and credibly with senior stakeholders, reinforcing trust and long-term partnership potential.

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistent new-logo wins / developing target accounts
  • A healthy, self-generated pipeline
  • Strong conversion rates from qualified opportunity to close
  • Customers who see you as a trusted commercial partner, not a vendor

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Skills & Knowledge

Sales & Business Development

  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business independently (cold outreach, networking, referrals, targeted prospecting).
  • Confidence engaging senior-level stakeholders and navigating buying environments.
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to uncover pain points and translate them into compelling value propositions.
  • Experience selling services is necessary, preferably in industrial, automotive, or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience selling or delivering quality assurance services is preferred

Personal Attributes

  • Highly self-motivated; thrives with autonomy and ownership
  • Resilient, persistent, and comfortable with rejection
  • Commercially sharp with strong business acumen
  • Organized, disciplined, and accountable for results, not activity alone

Values & attitudes

  • Global team spirit: Team player; Considerate; Open-minded
  • Excellence: Sense of Urgency; Resilient to pressure; Rigorous
  • Customer focus: Client oriented; Reliable & trustworthy; Flexible
  • Initiative: Autonomous; Innovative; Self-starter

Work experience

  • 7+ years of successful B2B sales experience, with a clear track record of new customer acquisition.
  • Experience selling services is strongly preferred; quality, inspection, engineering, or operational services is a significant asset.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing environments (quality systems, operational efficiency, logistics, plant operations).

Education background

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or equivalent professional experience.

Who This Role is Not For

  • Sales professionals who rely primarily on inbound leads or existing accounts.
  • Order-takers or account managers without a strong hunting background.
  • Individuals who require heavy structure, daily direction, or micromanagement.
