Job Description: Pickleball Professional.

Position Summary:
The Pickleball Professional is responsible for developing, promoting, and managing pickleball programs for players of all ages and skill levels. This role includes providing instruction, organizing events, maintaining a vibrant pickleball community, and ensuring an exceptional experience for members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:

Instruction & Player Development:
  • Plan and deliver individual and group pickleball lessons for beginners through advanced players.
  • Conduct clinics, camps, and instructional workshops.
  • Provide skill assessments and personalized improvement plans.
  • Stay current on teaching methods, rules, and best practices.

Program Management:
  • Develop and oversee pickleball programming, including leagues, social play, and tournaments.
  • Create engaging events to increase participation and retention.
  • Manage court scheduling and program logistics.
  • Assist in budgeting, pricing, and program promotion.

Member & Guest Engagement:
  • Foster a friendly, inclusive, and energetic pickleball environment.
  • Build strong relationships with players and encourage community involvement.
  • Promote pickleball programs through outreach, social media, and events.
  • Provide exceptional customer service at all times.

Operations & Facility Support:
  • Ensure courts and equipment are maintained and in excellent condition.
  • Enforce facility policies, safety standards, and pickleball rules.
  • Coordinate with other staff to support overall club operations.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience playing and teaching pickleball (or racquet sports such as tennis).
  • Certification from a recognized organization (e.g., PPR, IPTPA) preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to teach players of all ages and skill levels.
  • Organized, energetic, and professional demeanor.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, move, and demonstrate skills for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting and handling equipment.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions (if applicable).

Work Schedule:
  • Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on program needs.

Preferred Skills:
  • Event planning and tournament management experience.
  • Marketing and social media promotion skills.
  • Background in tennis or other racquet sports.
