The Role

The Strategic Partner Execution Manager is a strategic, partner-facing role responsible for supporting assigned partner portfolios that may include Distribution Partners and partners with direct agreements with Lumen. Reporting to the Director Strategic Partner Execution Management, this position supports an assigned partner portfolio representing a minimum of $10M in monthly billed revenue, which may be concentrated within one partner or distributed across multiple partners. This role works in close alignment with the Account Director Sr - National Channel Manager, who maintains primary ownership of the partner relationship, sales strategy, and growth objectives. Within that structure, the Strategic Partner Execution Manager owns the operational strategy for assigned partners and is accountable for translating business priorities into scalable operational plans that support billed revenue retention, growth, and partner effectiveness. This includes leading operational execution, delivering business insights, resolving barriers, and orchestrating cross-functional support across internal teams to improve the partner experience and business performance. This roles performance is measured against assigned partner results and business outcomes The ideal candidate brings strong commercial acumen, operational discipline, and consultative relationship skills, with the ability to influence partner performance and deliver measurable business impact. This is a partner-facing role and will require limited travel throughout the year to be on-site at partner locations.

The Main Responsibilities

   Partner Operational Strategy Ownership: Own the operational strategy for an assigned partner portfolio representing a minimum of $10M in monthly billed revenue, which may include Distribution Partners or direct-agreement partners, while working in close alignment with the Account Director Sr - National Channel Manager who owns the primary sales relationship, strategy, and growth plan.
   Operational Performance Enablement: Develop and drive operational plans, priorities, and interventions that support billed revenue retention, growth, and overall partner performance, consistent with a TSI role measured against assigned partner business results.
   Strategic Operational Leadership: Partner with the Account Director Sr - National Channel Manager and partner stakeholders, including C- and VP-level operational leaders at partner companies, to define, implement, and evolve the operational strategy needed to remove barriers, improve execution, and enable partner success.
   Commissions and Partner Business Support: Partner across internal teams to support commission accuracy, issue resolution, and business processes that directly affect partner confidence, productivity, and performance.
   Advanced Reporting and Business Insights: Develop and maintain dashboards, reporting, and partner insights to monitor trends, inform business reviews, and support action plans tied to partner outcomes.
   Cross-Functional Operational Leadership: Work closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, Sales Operations, and IT to align internal execution to partner operational priorities, resolve complex issues, and drive process improvements that support revenue objectives.
   Business Reviews and Performance Planning: Prepare and deliver partner performance insights, recommendations, and action plans for recurring business reviews focused on revenue attainment, operational health, and growth opportunities.
   Continuous Improvement: Identify and lead initiatives that enhance the partner experience, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen Lumen's ability to support and grow partner-driven revenue.

   Excellent organizational and consultative skills, with experience managing complex tasks, timelines, and relationships with executive stakeholders, including C- and VP-level operational leaders at partner companies.
   Comfortable working with large data sets, advanced spreadsheets, and partner-facing tools or systems.
   Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and explain processes to both internal teams and high-value partners.
   Partner-focused attitude and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational challenges across assigned partner portfolios.


Preferred Qualifications 
   Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business operations, sales support, or related field.
   5-7 years of experience in a partner-facing, strategic operations, sales operations, partner performance, or commissions support role-preferably supporting enterprise-scale partners in telecom or technology.
   Familiarity with partner sales models, including indirect, distribution, and direct-agreement structures, with experience supporting high-value or high-volume partner relationships.
   Proficient with Salesforce, Excel, and business intelligence/reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
   Understanding of API-based tools, partner data integrations, and experience driving process innovation is a plus.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
