CRST The Transportation Solution is looking for a Senior Manager - Operations to provide operational leadership across multiple accounts, locations, or regions with accountability for safety, service execution, and financial performance.
How You'll Work
Location: Onsite in Erlanger, KY
Job Schedule: Monday - Friday and weekends as needed

About the Role
The Senior Manager - Operations provides operational leadership across multiple accounts, locations, or regions with accountability for safety, service execution, and financial performance. This role owns the commercial and enterprise-level customer relationship and collaborates with internal and external partners to execute strategy, strengthen partnerships, and drive sustained alignment between operational performance, financial results, and customer goals.
What You'll Do
  • Operational Leadership and Performance: Lead operations across multiple customer accounts, locations, or regional areas to ensure consistent performance, safety, and profitability while driving execution of company and customer objectives
  • Team Leadership and Development: Manage and develop Managers - Site, Managers - Operations, and other operational staff to strengthen leadership capability, promote accountability, and align performance with business goals
  • Customer Relationship Management: Own the commercial and enterprise-level customer relationship; lead executive business reviews, rate discussions, and strategic performance planning to strengthen partnerships and drive results
  • Financial Accountability: Manage regional budgets, monitor cost drivers, and execute initiatives to achieve sustained profitability, utilization, and growth targets across assigned markets or accounts
  • Safety and Compliance: Champion a safety-first culture by ensuring adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company policies, and customer standards across all assigned operations
  • Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Review key operational and financial metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; guide managers in developing and executing corrective action plans to improve results
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, finance, maintenance, safety, and planning teams to align operational strategy, support customer initiatives, and drive regional performance
  • Strategic Planning and Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement strategic initiatives that enhance regional performance, improve efficiency, and strengthen customer satisfaction and retention
  • Talent Development: Coach and mentor managers to build leadership depth, improve engagement, and prepare teams for future growth and responsibilities
  • Availability: Maintain flexibility to support operations outside standard business hours and travel as needed to ensure regional consistency and customer satisfaction
  • Travel: Occasionally as needed
  • Accountability and Reliability: Maintain regular and reliable attendance while performing other duties as assigned to support team and business needs

  • Customer Focus: Ability to manage executive-level relationships and ensure alignment with customer goals
