Director of Compensation and Benefits
Full-time | Multi-State, Multi-Location Organization
Richmond Hill, GA - onsite
SGA Dental Partners is seeking a Director of Compensation and Benefits to lead payroll, benefits, and total rewards operations for a multi-state, multi-location organization. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll, regulatory compliance, and the delivery of competitive benefits programs. The Director partners closely with HR, Finance, and leadership to drive efficiency, compliance, and employee satisfaction.
What You'll Do
  • Lead payroll, benefits, compensation, and leave administration functions across multiple states and locations, including direct leadership of Payroll (5), Benefits (3), and LOA (1), and serving as an individual contributor for Compensation.
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll operations for a high-volume workforce
  • Manage and enhance benefits programs for a geographically dispersed employee population
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll/benefits regulations
  • Drive system improvements, integrations, and scalable processes
  • Provide reporting on payroll costs, benefits utilization, and compliance
  • Identify cost-saving and process-improvement opportunities
  • Present insights and recommendations to leadership

What You Bring
  • Strong knowledge of payroll and benefits regulations, including multi-state requirements
  • Experience with payroll/benefits systems and data accuracy
  • Working knowledge of Workday preferred

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field
  • 7-10 years of progressive payroll/benefits experience, including 3+ years in leadership
  • CPP, FPC, or CEBS preferred
  • Experience leading payroll/benefits in a multi-state, multi-location, large-scale organization
