JOB SUMMARY
The Manager of Reporting and Analytics is responsible for leading a team of data professionals in delivering high-quality, actionable insights through advanced analytics, reporting solutions, and data visualization. This role combines technical expertise in modern data platforms (including SQL, Power BI, Azure Data & Analytics, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Data Lake technologies) with strong leadership and people management skills. The ideal candidate will drive data strategy, ensure data integrity, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

EXPECTED WORK AND PERFORMANCE (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
  • Lead and manage a team of analysts, developers, and data engineers to deliver scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level dashboards and reports using Power BI and other visualization tools.
  • Oversee data integration and transformation processes using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and security across all reporting platforms and data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching and mentorship, and support career development for team members.
  • Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data and analytics.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying, transformation, and optimization.
  • Strong experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and report/dashboard design.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, Azure SQL).
  • Experience with Databricks for data engineering and machine learning workflows.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience conducting performance reviews, setting goals, and managing team development plans.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices in data environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.

PREFERRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis and automation.

The position is based in our Richardson, TX office. Daily physical presence in the office is required for interaction with co-workers, attending meetings, and for collaboration on projects.
