Job description


We are seeking a skilled Technical Project Manager to drive the delivery of cutting-edge telecommunications solutions, focusing on 5G NR, 5G Core (5GC), and end-to-end deployments. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in coordinating diverse teams, including RAN, core, integration, and testing, to ensure seamless project execution. Your expertise will be instrumental in achieving performance, availability, and reliability targets for high-dependability network systems. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of mission-critical telecom infrastructure, working with a dynamic and innovative team at US20 - Nokia of America Corp.
Responsibilities
  • Manage planning and execution of projects involving 5G NR, 5G Core (5GC), and OAM functions.
  • Coordinate technical activities across diverse teams, ensuring effective collaboration.
  • Utilize project management tools to track schedules, deliverables, and interdependencies.
  • Identify and escalate project risks and issues, maintaining proactive communication.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, customer requirements, and quality benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders for successful multi-domain system integration.
  • Support readiness planning, guaranteeing mission-critical performance and availability.
  • Report project status, risks, and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in telecom project management.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting open communication.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience managing telecom projects with 5G NR, 5GC, and system integration exposure.
  • Understanding of telecom project lifecycles and network deployment processes.
  • Experience in mission-critical environments, such as public safety or defense communications.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Jira, MS Project, Confluence) is essential.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with 3GPP standards, network architecture, and telecom OAM practices is preferred.
  • Experience working in high-availability, low-latency system contexts is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of integration, testing, and performance validation for telecom systems.
  • Certification in project management methodologies (PMP, Agile) is a plus.
