Job description

Job Description: As a Housekeeping Supervisor at our vibrant Moxy Vanderbilt Hillsboro Village Hotel, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. You will supervise and support the housekeeping team to ensure efficient operations and exceptional guest experiences.
 
Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years experience in hotel housekeeping.
  • Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory or leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and use of cleaning equipment.
  • Excellent organizational & communication skills to coordinate tasks and interact with guests and team members.
  • Proficiency in using housekeeping management software or similar systems is a plus.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Team Leadership and Supervision:
Supervise and lead the housekeeping team, including room attendants and cleaners.
Assign tasks, schedule shifts, and monitor performance to ensure adherence to established standards.
 
Operational Support:
Assist in coordinating daily housekeeping operations, including room cleaning, public area maintenance, and inventory management.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and compliance with established protocols.
 
Training and Development:
Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and guest service standards.
Provide ongoing coaching and support to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
 
Quality Assurance:
Monitor the quality of cleaning services provided, address any deficiencies, and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
Uphold Moxy's standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the hotel.
 
Guest Satisfaction:
Respond promptly and effectively to guest requests, inquiries, and concerns related to housekeeping services.
Foster a positive guest experience by ensuring a clean and comfortable environment.
 
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Light work – exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 40 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
 
Shift availability:
This position may require flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the hotel's operational needs.
