Job description

Group Manager and Lead - Motion Graphics & Editorial
We're looking for a highly skilled and very energetic candidate to come help us evolve & expand our internal Motion Graphics & Editorial team. This role sits within the Adobe Global Marketing Organization in the Video Production COE, and will lead and manage our in-house motion and editorial team. Initial focus is on building the team producing video content at velocity for lower to mid-funnel & rapid-response work, including shortform videos (usually :06 - :59) for product & feature releases, PR & Comms, advertising, paid and organic social, and more across a wide array of channels and specs. But this role will help evolve and lead our greater motion and editorial team as well.
This is an important new role in a dynamic dept. The ideal candidate will:
  • Be ready and able to build and manage teams and build & evolve team infrastructure, workflows, pipelines, and assets, and systems.

  • Be very experienced in fast-turn motion and animation workflows, tools, methods, and storytelling, and working in a fast-paced, complex, deadline driven environment.

  • Be AI fluent and passionate about finding ways to automate and optimize motion animation workflows and tasks towards efficiency.

Requirements:
  • Deep experience (10 years +) in traditional motion graphics and animation work at agencies, post-houses, and/or brands.

  • State of the art motion tool ability & comprehension. Adobe After Effects & Premiere Pro skills essential, as well as Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and other industry standard motion, editorial, design, and 3D tools & workflows.

  • Strong proficiency in frame.io and general DAM / MAM & archiving systems.

  • AI experience & fluency. Knowledgeable on AI and automation tools in the post, motion, animation, and social space.

  • Can efficiently build & manage templates, asset libraries, systems and processes.

  • Understanding of and experience making effective work across all channels, specs, and sizes.

  • Excellent shortform, advertising, and social storytelling skills.

  • Experienced animating vector product UI with precision.

  • Strong design background, and attention to detail, including typography & type animation expertise.

  • Strong people manager.

  • Great communication skills.

  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization in deadline driven environment.

Expected Pay Range:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $118,300 -- $259,800 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
In California, the pay range for this position is $179,400 - $259,800
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
