Director Information Technology - Mobile

About your role:
You will be a key leader in our organization, overseeing a talented software development team dedicated to designing, developing, delivering and maintaining cutting-edge mobile applications for Fiserv's Money Network platform. In this role, you will drive the development strategy and ensure alignment with our company's goals and objectives. With production capabilities leading the industry in prepaid card delivery, you will harness multiple technologies and software to deliver exceptional products to our customers.


What you'll do:

  • Lead and manage a group of up to 15 distributed software developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive high performance.
  • Develop and maintain mobile applications usingReact Nativefor iOS and Android platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and IT, to define software requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Manage software development projects, including planning, resource allocation, and tracking progress to ensure timely delivery.
  • Implement clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices and best practices to ensure efficiency and quality and collaborate with designers, product managers, developers & testers.
  • Integrate REST APIs and thirdparty libraries and optimize applications for performance, stability, cyber security, resiliency, and responsiveness.
  • Lead code reviews and enforce coding standards and contribute to architectural and design decisions.
  • Optimize team's use of CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment and ensure team remediates all Vulnerabilities on time, own & close findings from SDLC Audits etc

AI Adoption and Innovation:

  • Champion the adoption and integration of AI-assisted engineering workflows demonstrating measurable impact on quality and throughput.
  • Evaluate, pilot, and operationalize AI developer tools across the organization, coaching teams to integrate them into their daily workflows.
  • Deliver technical training, workshops, and enablement sessions on AI adoption and emerging AI-assisted practices.

Experience you'll need to have:

  • 9+ years of experience in software development
  • 3+ years of experience as a people manager
  • Proven track record of leading successful software development projects from conception to delivery.
  • Strong technical expertise in software development methodologies, programming languages, and software architecture.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a relevant field, and/or equivalent military experience.
  • Technical and foundational skills:
    • Strong experience withJavaScript/TypeScriptandReact Native.
    • Understanding of mobile UI/UX standards.
    • Familiarity with native iOS (Swift/ObjectiveC) / Android (Java/Kotlin) development.
    • Strong knowledge of REST integrations.
    • Version control using Git.
    • Experience with automated tests and related frameworks.
    • Knowledge of app store submission and release processes.
    • Ownership mindset & ability to work independently
    • Exposure to security best practices for mobile applications.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience in credit card, payments, or output services industry
  • Master's degree in computer science or a relevant field
  • Experience working in Agile development environment
  • Familiarity with cloud services (Azure, AWS, Firebase).
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly

How you'll work

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers inperson collaboration to be an essential part of this role as inperson office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.

Travel

  • Approximately 10% of travel offsite or to other office locations is expected.

Salary Range

$145,000.00 - $240,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
