Job Summary: Pembroke Hill seeks a detail oriented and knowledgeable Systems Specialist to join our 4-person I/T team.
The Systems Specialist manages the school's cloud infrastructure (Google). This position will work closely with the Network Specialist on managing the schools Microsoft cloud environment. This role is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of user accounts and works within the school's Student Management System (SMS) as needed. Other responsibilities include managing the schools chromebook inventory, technology setup for various meetings, the schools internet filtering for school devices.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Technology related degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Min. 1-2 years work experience in information systems.
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure, Google Admin strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with staff and student learners.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work, as needed.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
  • Manages and maintains the schools cloud computing environment. Which include the following:
    • Oversee user accounts.
    • Supports Schools Data Security Posture with MFA, DLP rules and email security.
    • Manage Pembroke's Google Workspace
    • Ensures security and resolves issues across various cloud platforms
  • Manages students' device security and filtering.
  • Monitor help desk support phone line and email account to assist employees, students and
  • parents with troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Continued training to keep abreast of information management and technology services.
  • Administer and support the school's various mobile device managers (MDM: Google and Intune).
  • Maintains and updates department documentation.
  • Assist employees and students with O365 and Google Apps.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Schedule: This is a year round position, paid time off in accordance with employee benefit plans.
Compensation: Compensation will be based on a competitive norm influenced by area and peer schools and organizations, using previous experience and skills. Transcripts and verification of previous employment will be required.
