Now Hiring: Manager, Materials Lead Supply Chain Excellence in a Dynamic Manufacturing Environment

Are you a strategic supply chain leader who thrives on balancing inventory, production schedules, and customer commitments? Do you have a passion for driving operational excellence, improving material flow, and leading high-performing teams?

We're seeking a Manager, Materials to oversee all aspects of materials management, inventory control, production planning, and scheduling within our manufacturing operation. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for ensuring material availability, optimizing inventory investment, and driving on-time delivery performance.


What You'll Do

As the Manager, Materials, you will:

Lead materials planning, forecasting, inventory control, and production scheduling activities

Develop and maintain short- and long-range inventory plans for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods

Oversee Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes

Coordinate supplier releases to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations

Monitor production capacity and recommend solutions to support changing customer demand

Drive inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, FIFO processes, and inventory control best practices

Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service, and Engineering teams to optimize performance

Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory, delivery, scheduling, and materials management

Lead continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen events, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM)

Develop, coach, and mentor a team of materials, planning, and inventory professionals


What We're Looking For Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field

5+ years of progressive experience in:

  • Materials Management
  • Production Planning & Scheduling
  • Inventory Control
  • Supply Chain Operations
  • Manufacturing Environments

3+ years of leadership experience managing teams

Strong understanding of:

  • MRP Systems
  • Capacity Planning
  • Inventory Management
  • Forecasting & Demand Planning
  • Supplier Management

Experience working cross-functionally to achieve operational objectives


Preferred Qualifications

APICS Certification (CPIM, CSCP) or CPSM

ERP experience, particularly LN and JD Edwards

Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, or Continuous Improvement experience

Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting capabilities

Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations
