Job description

The Common Kitchen is a locally owned food hall in Clarksville, Maryland, featuring international cuisine from small, independent restaurant businesses. Since opening in 2018, it has become a welcoming, inclusive space for food entrepreneurs and the Clarksville community. The food hall includes 11 vendor stalls supported by a shared commercial kitchen.

The Assistant Manager works alongside the General Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, strengthen vendor coordination, support marketing initiatives, and manage weekly event programming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations & Vendor Management: Track vendor closures, hours, foot traffic, and handbook compliance. Maintain cleanliness checklists and retail organization across stalls, shelves, and drink fridges.
  • Marketing & Community Engagement: Update silo signs, audit websites, assist vendors with signage and content, post on community pages, and build relationships with influencers and local organizations.
  • Social Media Support: Contribute to content creation and coordinate materials with the marketing team.
  • Event Management: Oversee weekly Bingo, Trivia, Kids Eat Free, and Live Music programming. Coordinate hosts and performers, manage supplies, create prizes/coupons, handle scheduling changes, and ensure accurate promotion across platforms.
  • Special Events & Programs: Provide on‐site support, assist with marketing, manage the Event Stamp Card and VIP programs, and support catering initiatives.
