Property Manager – Seattle, WA

  • The Property Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the property to ensure it is managed effectively, remains in good condition, and generates expected returns. This professional is responsible for maintaining property rentals by advertising and filling vacancies, negotiating and enforcing leases, and maintaining and securing the premises.
  • Marketing properties to potential tenants through advertising, property viewing, and networking to ensure high occupancy rates.
  • Negotiating lease agreements that comply with laws and protect the property owners' interests.
  • Collecting rent, managing lease renewals, and ensuring that all aspects of the lease agreements are adhered to by tenants.
  • Conducting regular inspections of the property to assess any needed repairs and maintenance.
  • Coordinating maintenance and repair works, including routine services and emergency repairs, to maintain or enhance the value of the property.
  • Managing budgets and financial records, including rent collection, expense payments, and profit calculations.
  • Ensuring compliance with locality-specific legal standards and safety regulations.
  • Handling tenant complaints and disputes efficiently to maintain tenant satisfaction and retention.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field, or significant industry experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal property regulations and a strong understanding of property maintenance, financial aspects, and tenant laws.
  • Skills in business management, customer service, negotiation, and conflict resolution are essential.
  • Experience with property management software (Yardi or Elise AI) and other related technology tools used for accounting, tenant management, and advertising.
