About the Organization The Partnership for Southern Equity (PSE) advances policies and institutional actions that promote racial equity and shared prosperity for all in the growth of metropolitan Atlanta and the American South. Our organization includes four (4) key portfolios; Just Energy (JE), Just Growth (JG), Just Health (JH), and Just Opportunity (JO); three (3) initiatives including Just Communities, Just Youth (formerly YES! for Equity), and Just Solutions (JS).
We are committed to diversity and building an inclusive environment for people of all backgrounds and ages. We are taking steps to meet that commitment. PSE especially encourages members of traditionally underrepresented communities to apply, including women, people of color, LGBTQIA+ folx, and differently-abled people. We know there are great candidates who won't fit everything we've described above, or who have important skills we haven't thought of. If that's you, please don't hesitate to apply and tell us about yourself.
DescriptionPSE's Just Energy (JE) Portfolio recognizes that the present effects of past discrimination continue to have a disproportionate impact on Black and disinvested communities of color. We know with data informed certainty that the American South is ground zero for climate justice, economic justice, racial justice, health equity, and inclusive democratic participation. The region is home to four cities with highest energy burdens for low-income households and the South experiences a higher frequency of billion-dollar climate disaster events than any other region in the U.S.
