Position Summary

The Bartender at The Standard Spa, Miami Beach is a multi-outlet role supporting Lido Bayside, Monterrey Bar, and Belle Bar, bringing versatility, energy, and strong beverage execution across each unique environment.

From laid-back waterfront service at Lido, to high-energy nights at Monterrey, to vibrant poolside moments at Belle Bar, this role adapts seamlessly while maintaining The Standard’s signature service style, polished, playful, and effortlessly engaging.

The Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, crafting quality beverages with consistency and precision, and maintaining an organized, guest-ready bar at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve and engage with guests in a warm, sincere, and professional manner across all outlets.
  • Provide attentive, personalized service while maintaining a strong presence behind the bar.
  • Anticipate guest needs and create memorable experiences through interaction and product knowledge.
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate when appropriate.
  • Maintain a consistent level of service aligned with The Standard’s expectations.
  • Prepare and serve beverages according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of cocktails, wine, spirits, and menu offerings across all outlets.
  • Confidently describe beverages and menu items using proper terminology.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and accuracy of all drinks served.
  • Stay informed on daily specials, menu changes, and 86 items
  • Set up, maintain, and break down bar stations according to SOPs.
  • Maintain proper par levels of all bar products, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and supplies.
  • Complete daily inventory counts and submit requisition sheets as required.
  • Prepare fresh juices, garnishes, and cocktail components, ensuring quality and freshness.
  • Accurately enter orders into the POS system and manage all transactions responsibly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and visual presentation of all bar areas, including bar top, back bar, and service stations.
  • Complete all opening, running, and closing side work duties.
  • Deliver swift, efficient, and accurate service for both bar guests and service tickets.
  • Communicate effectively with servers, runners, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Adapt to different service styles and volumes across multiple outlets.
  • Support team operations and assist where needed to maintain service standards.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, grooming, and uniform presentation.
  • Follow all sanitation, safety, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and service expectations.
  • Identify and report any guest or operational concerns, including intoxicated or disruptive behavior.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous bartending experience in a high-volume environment required.
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beverage service.
  • Experience working in multiple service styles (restaurant, bar, pool, or lounge) preferred.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros preferred.
  • Excellent communication and guest engagement skills.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow established procedures and standards.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
