Island Activities Kauai is looking for energetic, friendly, and guest-focused Beach & Pool Attendants to join our team at the beautiful Sheraton Kauai Resort. As the first point of contact for many resort guests, you'll play an important role in creating an exceptional beach and pool experience while delivering the warm hospitality Hawaii is known for.

This is much more than handing out towels. Our Beach & Pool Attendants help guests relax, have fun, and make the most of their vacation by providing outstanding customer service, maintaining beach and pool amenities, and connecting guests with exciting island activities.

What You'll Do
  • Welcome guests with friendly, professional, and personalized customer service.
  • Distribute towels and assist guests with beach and pool amenities.
  • Rent, set up, clean, and reset private cabanas, bungalows, beach chairs, umbrellas, and other rental equipment.
  • Assist guests with reservations and checkin for surf lessons and other resort activities.
  • Promote and recommend activities, rentals, and experiences offered by Island Activities Kauai.
  • Sell retail merchandise including sunscreen, beach toys, and other convenience items.
  • Verify guest wristbands and help ensure pool access is limited to authorized resort guests.
  • Keep beach and pool areas organized, clean, and inviting throughout the day.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures.
  • Work closely with resort staff and fellow team members to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
  • Perform other hospitalityrelated duties as assigned.
  • Minimum Qualifications

    Applicants must:
  • Be at least 16 years of age.
  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Be able to provide documentation verifying authorization to work on the first day of employment.
  • Be dependable, punctual, and customerfocused.
  • Enjoy interacting with guests from around the world.
  • Be comfortable working outdoors in sun, heat, wind, and changing weather conditions.
  • Be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Be available to work weekends, holidays, and peak tourism seasons.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous hospitality, hotel, retail, recreation, or customer service experience.
  • Cash handling and pointofsale experience.
  • Experience working at a resort or guest services desk.
  • Knowledge of Kauai activities and attractions.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Passion for creating exceptional guest experiences.

  • Availability Requirements

    We operate seven days a week throughout the year.

    Applicants must be available to work:
  • Weekends and holidays.
  • June through September.
  • December 15 through January 15.
  • These are our busiest seasons, and time-off requests during these blackout periods generally cannot be accommodated.
