Overview
East Penn is currently seeking a Learning & Development Manager who will be responsible for managing and enhancing our established Learning Path-based manufacturing skills training process, ensuring consistency, scalability, and alignment with business goals across all manufacturing sites. This position will report to the Sr. Director of Learning & Organizational Development.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and Optimize Manufacturing Skills Training: Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Learning Paths ensuring alignment with operational needs and compliance requirements.
  • Program Expansion: Scale the existing training framework across all departments and locations, adapting content and delivery methods to meet diverse workforce needs.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of training professionals providing coaching, performance management, and professional development.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with plant leadership, HR, safety, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure training programs support performance, safety, and compliance goals.
  • Data-Driven Improvement: Monitor training effectiveness through the acquisition and compilation of strategic metrics. Assist with the development of data implementations by using past insights to drive future enhancements.
  • Technology Integration: Leverage learning technologies (LMS, LXP, LRS) to streamline delivery and tracking of training and development programs.
  • Change Management: Support change initiatives by understanding the knowledge and skills our employees need to adapt and succeed.
  • Compliance & Standardization: Consistently manage timely content for training programs to meet regulatory and internal standards across all sites.

Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications
5-8 years of experience working in respective department or process area, with at least 2-3 years in leadership roles.
Experience providing training, coaching and guidance to hourly manufacturing employees in respective department/ process areas.
Education/Certification
High school diploma or GED required.
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Development, HR, or related field preferred
Skills & Competencies
โ€ข Ability to use computer-based training tools incorporating multi-media
โ€ข Intermediate math and computer skills, specifically, Excel and Word
โ€ข Excellent employee relationship skills to define and subsequently resolve conflict
โ€ข Collect and analyze data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and take appropriate action using root cause investigation/problem solving/ DMAIC principles
