Hiring Salary Range:

$68,800 - $103,200

Compensation is determined by a combination of factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications. The actual offer may vary, reflecting the candidate's unique blend of experience, educational background, and skill level.

PURPOSE:

Provide administrative and project coordination support for Extra High Voltage (EHV) Transmission Line projects from planning through completion. Assist the project team and partnering utilities with data collection, documentation, and basic project tracking. Support activities such as estimating inputs, financial tracking, and schedule updates to help ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within scope, and within budget. Coordinate with internal teams across planning, permitting, engineering, procurement, and construction under the guidance of project leadership.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Project Planning and Initiation:

  • Assist in developing project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, and budget.

  • Support collaboration with SMEs to develop strategies to meet major milestones.

  • Assist SMEs, partners, and consultants in obtaining necessary permits and approvals.

  • Support the definition of project goals, deliverables, and performance criteria.

  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of document control and SharePoint site.

2. Project Execution:

  • Provide administrative support for day-to-day project activities.

  • Assist with coordination between engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.

  • Support monitoring of consultants and contractors for compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

  • Track and report project progress to the project team.

3. Stakeholder Management:

  • Assist in preparing for project meetings and documenting meeting minutes.

  • Support communication with stakeholders.

  • Escalate stakeholder concerns to project team members.

4. Budget and Cost Management:

  • Assist in tracking project expenses and maintaining financial records.

  • Support cost control tracking and reporting.

  • Compile data for financial reports.

5. Quality and Compliance:

  • Support compliance with industry and regulatory standards.

  • Assist in QA/QC documentation and processes.

  • Help coordinate inspections and audits.

6. Project Closure:

  • Assist with closeout activities, including documentation and recordkeeping.

  • Support lessons learned documentation.

  • Assist in verifying completion of deliverables.

7. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, civil engineering, construction engineering/management, or a related field required. 2 years of experience in project coordination, engineering, construction, or a related field preferred. Exposure to transmission line projects, utility environments, or project management processes is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Skills:

  • Basic understanding of transmission line design, construction, and regulatory requirements.

  • Developing communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with guidance and work in a team environment.

  • Exposure to project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) preferred.

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.

  • Exposure to utility, construction, or engineering environments is preferred.
