Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Manager to oversee and manage our multi-tiered IT infrastructure services, including networks, servers, and core infrastructure services in both AWS and Azure environments. This role requires a strong background in scripting with PowerShell, proficiency in managing and supporting server and infrastructure technologies, and expertise in administering Office 365 for user account and mailbox management.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Primary process owner for multi-tiered IT infrastructure services
  2. Manage networks, servers, and core infrastructure services (AWS, Azure, Meraki Networks, DNS, Email Protection, Okta, Data Protection)
  3. Script with PowerShell
  4. Administer Office 365 for user account and mailbox management, calendar processing, shared mailbox, distribution list management, and licensing
  5. Escalation support for all user account-related tasks
  6. Oversee and support IT Infrastructure Managed Service Provider
  7. Manage internet service providers across all Sites
  8. Share management of core Business platforms (Office 365, Zoom, SharePoint, Printers, OneDrive, Egnyte, etc.)
  9. Support conferencing technology such as Zoom, Zoom Rooms, and Teams
  10. Develop and improve the Infrastructure Service in the areas of monitoring, provisioning, and request processes
  11. Manage security incidents, investigations, resolutions, and reporting
  12. Drive resolution of high-severity outages impacting IT infrastructure
  13. Responsible for budget commitments, forecasting, and tracking for the group
  14. Contribute to the development of the IT vision; translate the vision into short-/long-term goals and deliverables
  15. Manage the engagement, delivery, and oversight of activities related to Infrastructure services provided by external vendors and service providers
  16. Lead the evaluation and selection of systems and infrastructure solutions in conjunction with IT strategy and business requirements
  17. Partner with the business areas to identify system requirements and translate business requirements into functional service projects, enhancements, and support
  18. Conduct design review of systems and applications to ensure adherence with identified stability, performance, and security standards
  19. Support GxP systems and SOX compliance activities

Requirements
Education, Experience & Skills Requirements:
  1. 5+ years of experience in IT, providing supervisory and direct technical support for IT Infrastructure
  2. 3+ years of IT experience in similarly sized growing Biotech companies
  3. Broad IT Infrastructure experience, with emphasis on Life Sciences-related systems delivery
  4. Proven experience with managing and utilizing cloud infrastructure in a service delivery process
  5. Successful experience managing the following infrastructure: Meraki FW/Wi-Fi, Azure, AWS EC2, InfoSec Monitoring Services, MS Active Directory, DNS, Okta, Server Backups, NAS Storage Solutions
  6. Knowledge or experience with the following infrastructure processes: DR and HA, Change Control, Maintenance management, InfoSec Breach Management
  7. Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements, data privacy practices, and laws, including FDA 21 CFR Part 11, SOX, and HIPAA
  8. Must have a strong understanding of IT Infrastructure as part of a business function (SLAs, ITIL practices, etc.)
  9. Experience with Computer Systems Validation (CSV) and good documentation practices is highly desired
  10. Possess solid project management skills, can set and manage expectations extremely well, work effectively with others, and are exceedingly productive on your own while producing quality results
  11. Must communicate well, both in writing and verbally, including success in communicating ideas in both technical and user-friendly language and technical writing skills
  12. Results-oriented team player who leads by example and takes full accountability
  13. A passion for business transformation, the ability to lead change inclusively, and the desire to bring the best combination of skills together in a team
  14. Ability to operate in a cross-functional / matrix environment
