Job description

We are seeking an experienced Injection Molding Technician to support mold setups, machine startups, process adjustments, and production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring molds, machines, and auxiliary equipment are installed, configured, and operating efficiently to meet production goals.

Location: Union City, CA

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience /shift

Available Schedules:

1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (+$1.00/hr)

3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM (+$2.00/hr)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mold installations, machine setups, startups, and changeovers.
  • Operate injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment while ensuring all hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and water connections are properly configured.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, assist with mold sampling and validation activities, and support continuous production improvements.
  • Complete setup documentation, production records, and process data accurately while communicating important information between shifts.
  • Handle raw materials, perform basic preventative maintenance, and ensure molds are cleaned, tagged, and stored according to company procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while supporting production, engineering, and quality teams as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Injection Molding Technician, Process Technician, Mold Setup Technician, or similar manufacturing role.
  • Experience performing mold changeovers, machine setups, and process startups in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot molding equipment and related systems.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and water systems used in injection molding operations.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally and stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
