JOB DESCRIPTION

Hospitality Interior Designer

A&R Design & Construction – Gulf Shores, AL | Full‑Time | Onsite

A&R Design & Construction is the in‑house design and construction engine behind A&R Group — a hotel ownership and development company with a rapidly expanding portfolio of Hilton, Marriott, IHG, and Choice Hotels.

We don’t design for outside clients. We design for our own hotels, and we build what we design.

That means:

  • Your work gets executed.
  • Your decisions matter.
  • Your designs directly shape the guest experience across every property we own and operate.

If you’re ready to step out of the “agency hamster wheel” and into a role where your work becomes real — fast — keep reading.

We’re hiring a Hospitality Interior Designer who thrives on logistics, coordination, precision, and execution. Someone who can take a brand prototype, adapt it intelligently, and drive it from concept to installation without dropping a detail.

This is where design meets ownership, speed, and impact.

  • Hospitality design
  • Brand standards
  • FF&E coordination

What You’ll Do

  • Develop FF&E packages, finish schedules, and brand‑compliant material selections
  • Produce AutoCAD drawings, elevations, and construction documentation
  • Adapt Hilton/Marriott/IHG/Choice brand standards to real‑world project conditions
  • Manage FF&E logistics, lead times, vendor coordination, and delivery schedules
  • Track project milestones, approvals, and design deliverables
  • Coordinate with ownership, architects, contractors, and suppliers
  • Support construction with RFIs, site visits, punch lists, and field verification
  • Assist with budgets, takeoffs, and value‑engineering options

This role is execution‑heavy, logistics‑driven, and perfect for someone who loves making projects run smoothly from concept to installation.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field
  • 3+ years of interior design experience
  • Strong AutoCAD and Excel skills
  • Experience with FF&E specifications and construction documentation
  • Excellent organization, communication, and multi‑project management

Bonus Points

  • Hospitality design experience
  • Familiarity with Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Choice brand standards
  • Experience with hotel renovations, PIPs, and new construction
  • Revit or Bluebeam knowledge

Why Work With Us

Because this is owner‑side hospitality design — the sweet spot where creativity meets real‑world impact.

At A&R Design & Construction, you get:

  • A seat at the table with ownership and leadership
  • The ability to see your work built exactly as you designed it
  • Fast decision‑making and minimal red tape
  • A growing pipeline of new builds and renovations
  • A team that values clarity, accountability, and execution excellence
  • Real influence on the look, feel, and performance of our hotels

If you’re ready to design the next wave of A&R hotels, apply through the link on this posting and upload your portfolio.

We want to see the work you’re proud of — the projects that show your eye, your execution, and your style.
