Job description

What you will enjoy doing*

  • In this role, you will serve as one of the Lead EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) team members by conducting monthly training sessions, audits, and meetings to promote awareness and continuous improvement
  • You will investigate workplace incidents using root-cause analysis tools to identify underlying causes and implement robust corrective and preventive measures. Share lessons-learned across the business
  • Perform risk assessments of workplace ergonomics, equipment, process safety, and operational processes to identify and mitigate potential hazards to personnel, facilities, and the environment
  • Design and implement safety programs, including training classes, standard operating procedures, and policies that support 24/7 production operations
  • You will enjoy working on the production floor by performing regular audits and inspections to assess the effectiveness of safety initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement
  • You have proven capability of developing and delivering training programs to educate employees on safety protocols and emergency procedures
  • You have experience with promoting a culture of safety through behavioral based safety programs and techniques
  • Design and execute small to medium scale safety improvement projects around the plant by utilizing your technical background

What makes you great

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials or Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • 5 or more years’ of working experience in Health, Safety and Environmental fields
  • Minimum of three years related experience in a manufacturing or industrial facility
  • You have proven hands-on, technical ability
  • Project Management experience is preferred
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience in time management and multi-tasking / prioritizing skills
  • Moreover you have excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., data analysis, pivot tables, macros)
  • Required to work an off-shift schedule. Some training may occur during first shift hours. This role will normally work between the hours of 8:00PM – 5:00AM (Monday – Friday)
