Manager Health Informatics Data Analyst Jobs (NOW HIRING)

McLeod Centers for Wellbeing is currently searching for a Full-time Healthcare Informatics Specialist to work in its Information Technology department in Charlotte, NC. This is a hybrid role, working from our Charlotte, NC office multiple days a week.

How will you help us achieve our mission? You will: 

• Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and data analytics to support clinical, operational, financial, and organizational decision-making.
• Analyze healthcare data to identify trends, performance gaps, utilization patterns, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Collaborate with Finance, Revenue Cycle, Operations, Compliance, and clinical leadership to develop meaningful performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Extract, validate, analyze, and interpret data from the organization's Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other healthcare information systems.
• Assist in establishing standardized definitions, reporting methodologies, and data governance practices across the organization.
• Support the optimization and strategic development of the electronic health record (EHR), ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient design in collaboration with staff from all departments
• Assess technology needs for clinicians and providers, leading efforts in planning, implementing, and evaluating solutions.
• Lead the design, development, testing, selection, implementation, and evaluation of new or modified informatics solutions, data structures, and decision-support mechanisms that are relevant to the care of patients.
• Manage complex interactions between applications being implemented and various patient care processes and workflows.
• Provide onboarding and ongoing training to healthcare staff on health information system deployment and management and develop training tools to support these efforts.
• Support system integrations and interfaces between the EHR and other organizational systems and assist with testing, validation, troubleshooting, and implementation.
• Develop and adhere to policies, procedures, and standards to meet all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, and currently accepted legal standards.

What are the qualifications needed for this role?  

Education/Experience:  

• Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Nursing, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required. 
• A Master's degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred. 
• Knowledge of Kipu EHR preferred, but not required. 

Certificates/Licenses:

• RN, LPN, LCAS, LCMHC, LMFT, or LCSW preferred.

Computer Skills:  

• Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office software (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
• Understanding of health analysis principles, including medical terminologies, electronic health records (EHR) programs, data modeling and visualization, and analytics systems.
• Proficiency in using EHR data modeling systems for clinical documentation, performance metrics, regulatory reporting, and information security.
• Familiarity with coding languages such as Java, C, Python and SQL.
• Skilled in database design, data structure, modeling, and development of database management systems.
