Job description

Force Motion Group (FMG) is seeking a high-calibre Global Application Analyst, FMG who is responsible for supporting, managing, and improving global business applications across multiple business functions and regions. The role provides application support, administration, release coordination, testing support, and user assistance while working closely with Group IT, local IT teams, vendors, service providers, and business users globally. The Global Application Analyst helps ensure applications meet business and operational requirements and supports the delivery of stable, secure, and efficient application services across the organization. Acting as a key point of contact between business users, IT teams, and external vendors, the role assists with issue resolution, system changes, process improvements, and ongoing support activities. The role also monitors application performance, service trends, recurring issues, and system usage to identify opportunities to improve service delivery, user adoption, and overall business efficiency.
Application Support & Administration
  • Provide functional application support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution across the business application landscape.
  • Drive resolution of critical (Severity 1) incidents from analysis through resolution, ensuring minimal business disruption.
  • Manage user administration, access, and configuration activities across supported applications.
  • Coordinate with managed service providers and third-party vendors to ensure timely resolution of incidents, service requests, and escalations.
  • Monitor service trends, identify recurring issues, and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support cost control activities by collaborating with business stakeholders and service providers on budget and service management activities.

Problem Identification & Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze service requests and application performance trends to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to investigate issues, validate solutions, and improve operational processes.
  • Contribute to development of scalable and sustainable solutions aligned with business and application requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across business processes, application usage, and operational support activities.

Release & Change Support
  • Manage end-to-end application change and release activities across the business application portfolio.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to gather, refine, prioritize, and document business requirements for system changes and enhancements.
  • Translate business requirements and operational needs into detailed functional specifications, process documentation, and solution requirements for IT teams, vendors, and application owners throughout the change lifecycle.
  • Drive change requests and enhancements through the full project and application lifecycle, including planning, testing, deployment, communication, training, and post-release support.
  • Manage user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, and validation activities to ensure quality and business readiness.

Business Applications & Process Support
  • Support a broad portfolio of business applications and process areas, collaborating across multiple business functions and operational domains.
  • Support a diverse portfolio of enterprise applications across areas such as ERP, Human Capital Management (HCM), payroll, CRM, eCommerce, product data management, workflow automation, travel & expense, CAD/CAM/PDM, and related business systems.
  • Contribute to business process improvements across core operational areas including Record-to-Report, Market-to-Quote, Customer-to-Cash, Source-to-Settle, Plan-to-Produce, and Stock-to-Ship.
  • Collaborate with business application owners to support configuration changes, patching activities, application upgrades, and lifecycle management while ensuring business users understand operational impacts and changes.
  • Maintain awareness of cross-application dependencies and integration points to minimize operational disruption and unintended business impacts.

Operational Responsibilities
  • Execute and oversee periodic operational activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation.
  • Own, manage, and maintain SharePoint sites, knowledge repositories, and related collaboration tools supporting business applications and operational processes.
  • Maintain and update operational documentation, user guides, knowledge articles, and related support materials.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, managed service providers, vendors, and business stakeholders to support ongoing operational activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support global operations as required, including occasional support outside standard business hours.
  • Travel approximately 25% as required to support projects, site activities, and business needs, including international travel.
  • Support vendor management, budget tracking, invoice review, and related operational governance activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across business applications, support processes, and operational practices.

Education Requirements and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Master's degree or equivalent advanced education is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in enterprise applications, Infor M3, business analysis, IT service management, or related technologies are considered an advantage.
