Want to learn what happens behind the scenes to bring corporate partnerships to life in professional sports? Join the Athens Rock Lobsters Corporate Partnerships team and get hands-on experience with the business side of hockey.
This isn't an internship where you'll spend the season watching from the sidelines. You'll help support partner activations, assist with VIP and sponsor experiences on game days, track sponsorship fulfillment, research prospective partners and contribute to sponsorship proposals and presentations. It's an opportunity to see how relationships are built, activated and maintained while gaining practical experience in sports sponsorship and corporate sales.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Corporate Partnerships Intern supports the Athens Rock Lobsters Corporate Sales & Partnerships team with the execution and fulfillment of corporate sponsorship agreements and related business development activities. The position assists with partner activations, game-day hospitality, fulfillment tracking, market research and preparation of sponsorship materials. This internship provides practical experience in the operational and client-service functions associated with corporate partnerships in professional sports.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Activation & Proof of Performance: Assist with setting up, monitoring, and taking photo/video documentation of corporate partner activations during home games and special events.
  • Fulfillment Tracking: Help assemble End-of-Season Partner Recap Books, compiling metrics, photos, ledgers, and proof of performance deliverables.
  • Game Day Hospitality: Greet corporate sponsors, manage VIP hospitality suites, escort partner guests, and ensure all contract terms (signage, promotions, tabling) are executed seamlessly.
  • Prospecting & Research: Conduct local market research to identify potential B2B sponsorship prospects and maintain corporate contact databases.
  • Proposal Design: Assist sales executives in drafting pitch decks, customized presentation decks, and sponsorship proposals.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Google Workspace; graphic design skills (Canva, Photoshop) are a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and remain active on your feet during home games.
