Job description

We’re looking for an outgoing, energetic, people-oriented Community Partnerships Representative to help grow our bakery’s presence throughout the local community. This role is all about building relationships, creating connections, and introducing people to products they’ll love. You’ll spend your time visiting local businesses, schools, hospitals, nonprofit organizations, and community groups to develop catering, fundraising, corporate gifting, and partnership opportunities.
This is not a desk job. Most days you’ll be out in the community meeting people, delivering complimentary cake samples, opening doors, and building relationships that help our bakery grow.
This position offers flexible scheduling with full-time or part-time options available.
Key Responsibilities
• Visit local businesses and organizations to introduce our bakery and provide complimentary cake samples
• Develop relationships that generate catering, corporate gifting, employee appreciation, and fundraising opportunities
• Build and manage partnerships with schools, houses of worship, sports teams, nonprofit organizations, and community groups
• Network within the community to identify and develop new business opportunities
• Coordinate and attend community events, pop ups, and promotional activities
• Follow up consistently with prospective partners and maintain existing relationships
• Track outreach activity and partnership opportunities
• Collaborate with bakery leadership on community engagement initiatives
Qualifications
• Prior experience in outside sales, fundraising, hospitality, customer service, business development, community outreach, or relationship management preferred
• Comfortable meeting new people and initiating conversations with business owners and decision makers
• Highly outgoing, engaging, self-motivated, organized, and professional
• Strong communication and follow-up skills
• Able to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license required
• Occasional evenings and weekends for events
Who Will Thrive in This Role?
The ideal candidate enjoys meeting new people, is comfortable starting conversations, and gets energized by being out in the community rather than sitting behind a desk. If you’re someone who values flexibility, independence, relationship building, and meaningful community involvement, this could be a great fit.
What Makes This Role Unique
• Flexible schedule
• Opportunity to represent a popular, well-respected, and growing brand
• Represent a product people genuinely love and enjoy sharing with others
• Build valuable skills in outside sales, networking, relationship building, and business development
• Spend your time in the community rather than behind a desk
• Make a positive impact in the community while helping local organizations raise money and celebrate important moments
Compensation
• Base pay plus commission
• Flexible schedule with full-time or part-time opportunities available
• Targeted first-year earnings range from $40,000 to $60,000, with no cap on commission potential
Application Instructions
Please submit your resume along with a brief cover letter explaining why this role interests you and why you believe you’d be a good fit. Formality isn’t important. We’re simply interested in learning more about you, your background, and what attracted you to this opportunity.
To be considered for this position, please include both a resume and a cover letter. Applications submitted without a cover letter will be considered incomplete and won’t be reviewed.
