Commercial Operations Manager

The Commercial Operations Manager enables the full commercial engine-Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service-to achieve growth through best-in-class sales operations, CRM excellence, and data-driven execution.

This role owns the commercial operating system, including CRM strategy, data governance, and technology enablement, while leading a team of three and driving process discipline, adoption, and measurable funnel performance improvements.

The role leads the transition to enterprise-grade, best-practice sales management by bridging commercial strategy and system execution-owning the Salesforce ecosystem and optimizing it to deliver pipeline visibility, sales efficiency, and predictable revenue growth.

Core Responsibilities:

Commercial Enablement & Funnel Optimization

  • Align Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service processes across the end-to-end lead-to-revenue lifecycle. You will efficiently structure the CRM systems around Greene Tweed's go-to-market model.
  • Identify and eliminate friction in lead management and sales funnel progression
  • Standardize, automate and optimize core sales management processes (lead qualification, pipeline management, forecasting, handoffs etc)

Sales Operations Leadership

  • Lead best-practice sales operations, including pipeline governance, support of demand team's forecasting accuracy, performance tracking, and pricing.
  • Direct experience methodologies of Challenger Sales directly into the CRM interface, supporting sales with best practices.
  • Support predictable revenue growth through scalable processes and clear operating cadences
  • Partner with commercial leadership to translate growth strategy into technology enabled execution

Data Hygiene, Deduplication and Governance

  • Own the commercial data strategy and hygiene standards for the commercial team's CRM platform.
  • Leads Sales Policy and Account Segmentation documentation process
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability of CRM data across leads, accounts, and opportunities
  • Implement governance, validation, and ongoing data quality controls

CRM & Technology Strategy

  • Own Salesforce CRM strategy as Salesforce Administrator - accountable for CRM adoption, and optimization across all global commercial teams
  • Define and execute a technology roadmap focused on automation, efficiency, and data accuracy
  • Ensure tools and systems enable-not hinder-commercial workflows - including tools and processes utilized by the global commercial sales team. (SAP, Qlik, Gains etc)

Funnel Governance, Reporting & Insights

  • Establish end-to-end funnel visibility and accountability through dashboards and reporting
  • Track conversion, pipeline health, and forecast accuracy
  • Deliver actionable insights to improve commercial performance

Team Leadership & Adoption

  • Manage and develop 3 direct reports, building a high-performing operations team
  • Drive commercial-wide best practice adoption of CRM, tools, and processes through training and change management
  • Reinforce accountability and operational discipline across teams
  • Collaborate with non-commercial stakeholders, including: supply, business units, finance, applications engineering and others - ensuring each have access to accurate insights and information to support the commercial team's growth and customer requirements.

Education

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in related field such as: Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems/IT, or Marketing. (Preferred but not required: Master's in Business Analytics, Business or other related fields.) Coursework in data analytics, operations/process improvement is also relevant.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 7+ years in Sales, Commercial, or Revenue Operations
  • Demonstrated Go-to-Market fluency, minimum 4 years serving as primary Salesforce Administrator for a global, enterprise level organization, experience in manufacturing or engineering sectors a plus.
  • Demonstrated CRM enabled lead management model architecting, automation and governance.
  • Proven success leading CRM-enabled sales growth and process transformation
  • Preferred Automation mastery: Advanced proficiency with Salesforce Flow Builder, complex sharing rules and advanced reporting/dashboards
  • Experienced with Tech Stack Integration: Oversee integration and optimization of adjacent sales tools
  • Experience managing and developing teams (required)
  • Cross-functional leadership across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service
