Job description

This position is Located within Commander, Navy Installation Command, Mid-Atlantic Region, Fleet and Family Readiness Program. The purpose of this position is to plan, organize, guide, and supervise all operations necessary for the efficient maintenance of the courses and all attendant programs and facilities. The golf course, practice area and clubhouse operate daily throughout the year.Qualifications:Resumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position. Applicants are encouraged to be clear and specific when describing their experience level and KSAs.
A qualified candidate must possess:
A minimum of 4 years of documented professional experience in all aspects of golf course operation, design and maintenance.
A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
Membership in the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) is strongly preferred. Candidate must be able to attain Class A PGA status within one year of employment.
Must be skilled in the current techniques of operating a financial establishment including some experience with point-of-sale cash register, basic computer knowledge and basic accounting and budgeting functions.
Must be experienced in providing exceptional customer service to all eligible budgeting functions.
Must be experienced in providing exceptional customer service to all eligible patrons.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Working knowledge of all aspects of a golf operation including, but not limited to retail sales and front desk operation, fitting of golf equipment, driving range operation and maintenance and supervision of a gasoline or electric golf car fleet. Must be knowledgeable of pertinent safety, occupational health and environmental regulations relating to chemicals, sprays and other agents used in a golf course environment.
Must have the ability to plan schedule and supervise work to achieve the most efficient utilization of facilities, employees and equipment.
Knowledge of agency management procedures and general business practices related to the management and utilization of golf course and related facilities.Education:This position does not have a positive education requirement.Employment Type: OTHER
